How do you coordinate marcenaria, marmoraria and kitchen installations?

Use one coordinated layout for the room contractor, joiner, stone fabricator and installers. Agree measurements, supports, connections and fitting responsibilities before paying for products that are expensive to alter.

Fix the layout and the appliance models together

Show finished walls, floor levels, doors, windows, cabinets and actual appliance dimensions on one drawing revision. Position the sink, dishwasher, cooktop, fridge, sockets, water controls and extraction route. Check clearances for doors, drawers and future servicing, not just whether the front elevation looks balanced.

The joiner’s furniture drawing does not automatically design the fixed electrical, gas or hydraulic systems. Ask the relevant professionals to reconcile their drawings and identify who approves the final dimensions. Civil Code article 610 distinguishes a design service from execution or supervision; do not assume one appointment covers all three.

Resolve hidden connections before closing the room

Give competent installers the actual equipment specifications and proposed use. Have them assess the electrical supply, circuits, water and drainage, gas where present and ventilation. A change from gas to induction involves more than replacing the cooking surface. Do not let a furniture fitter improvise system changes to compensate for an unresolved design.

Check shared ducts, external openings and building arrangements under the condominium framework. The reform-plan guidance helps identify those interfaces. If finishes or fixings affect waterproofed areas, ask how the waterproofing design will be maintained. Do not drill through a protected layer merely because a cabinet bracket appears on a furniture order.

Agree the measurement and installation sequence for this design

There is no reliable universal rule that stone always precedes cabinets or the reverse. A worktop supported by cabinets and one supported independently can have different sequencing. Agree the support design, templating conditions, finished dimensions and responsibility for setting out before either supplier manufactures.

  • Identify who supplies supports, cut-outs, edge profiles and seals.
  • Confirm whether the sink is supplied, fixed and connected by the same party.
  • Allocate cooktop cut-out, seating and final competent connection.
  • Specify which room finishes must be complete before final measurement.
  • Agree who pays for remeasurement or fabrication changes after an approved dimension changes.

Record a hold point for each final measurement. A supplier’s estimated production slot is not permission to manufacture against unfinished, unverified dimensions.

Read a complete kitchen budget

Illustrative full kitchen funding — R$
ItemAmount
Room work: electrical, hydraulic, preparation and connections9 500
Joinery supplied and installed18 000
Stone fabricated and installed6 200
Appliance supply7 500
Sink and tap supply1 200
Separate deliveries and carrying900
Defined work and supplies43 300
Outside professional services2 300
Chosen reserve: 10% of defined work and supplies4 330
Total funding49 930

The R$9,500 room package is R$3,200 of electrical work, R$1,800 of hydraulic work, R$3,500 of preparation/finishes and R$1,000 of defined disconnection and final connections. It excludes cabinet/stone fitting already above. The R$900 is only logistics excluded from those supplier prices. Replace provisional boundaries with written proposals; do not pay twice when a supplier offers a combined package.

Compare final proposals and approve changed choices

Use Procon’s estimate guidance to request the complete final price, specification, payment and dates. Check carcass and front materials, hardware, stone specification, actual cut-outs, access and installation. A cheaper cabinet quote may omit the fittings or mounting assumed by its competitor. Record exclusions rather than comparing only total length.

If the R$6,200 stone order is replaced by an accepted R$7,000 order with the same remaining scope, the change is R$800. Using reserve leaves R$3,530; keeping reserve raises funding to R$50,730. If the new stone needs different support or handling, establish those effects before approving the price instead of assuming the R$800 is the complete change.

Close the kitchen as a functioning room

  1. Inspect and record agreed hidden installations before covering.
  2. Release final dimensions with the relevant suppliers.
  3. Confirm room and carrying-route readiness before delivery.
  4. Have competent installers demonstrate the agreed system checks.
  5. Collect manuals, invoices, applicable professional records and the final drawing.
  6. Record missing components, damage and unfinished work with owners and dates.

A late worktop can delay the sink and dishwasher even when cabinets are in place. Track dependencies and payments in Reno Pro across all contracts. The completed budget buys a usable kitchen, with every support, connection and installation assigned once.
