Map the full journey before comparing prices
A delivery charge may cover the kerb but not the lift or final room. Record vehicle access, unloading location, stairs, lift dimensions and permitted loads with the responsible operator. Measure long worktops and cabinet packages, not only the doorway width. Agree delivery slots and protection with the building before the supplier dispatches.
Ask who receives and checks products, reports damage, moves them inside and stores them. The professional reform-plan guidance includes access, storage and waste arrangements. Do not block escape routes or concentrate heavy material on a slab without the relevant assessment. A cheap delivery that cannot reach the work area is not the same service as an agreed delivered-to-room price.
Choose a documented waste route
In São Paulo city, consult the SP Regula RCC page and its current transporter and destination lists. Check the actual company and service category rather than accepting an advertisement saying “licensed”. Ask what materials are accepted, loading limit, placement conditions, collection date and final destination are included in the quote.
The municipal CTR information explains electronic transport control and destination evidence. Request the applicable identifiable transport record and confirmation of proper delivery to the receiving site; a payment receipt alone does not show where the waste went. Road placement, site access and any relevant permission must be checked for the address. This guide does not assert one universal caçamba size or number of days on the street.
Check the current small-volume services carefully
The current municipal collection table, checked on 19 October 2026, distinguishes materials and services. It shows loose debris from small renovations up to 1 m³ for Ecopontos, and bagged debris up to 15 sacks of 50 litres for both Ecopontos and scheduled Cata-Bagulho. Gypsum is accepted only at some Ecopontos; asbestos roofing is shown as accepted by neither service.
Check the actual material, unit, quantity, packaging, weight and current collection arrangements before relying on a free route. Do not extrapolate the small-volume service to an entire apartment demolition or treat asbestos as ordinary rubble. Uncertain or hazardous materials require competent identification and a suitable route before disturbance. Older blanket advice that Cata-Bagulho never accepts any renovation debris does not match the current table.
Build a separate logistics budget
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Tile/material delivery | 350 |
| Joinery delivery, fitting excluded | 450 |
| Appliance delivery | 180 |
| Separate internal carrying | 600 |
| Route protection | 400 |
| Two agreed waste collections at 550 each | 1 100 |
| Accepted surplus return pickup | 120 |
| Final cleaning | 500 |
| Expected final logistics cost | 3 700 |
| Refundable pallet deposit under agreement | 300 |
| Initial cash requirement | 4 000 |
The R$300 deposit needs funding until returned, but is not final cost if refunded in full. If an accepted R$100 charge is retained, final cost becomes R$3,800 and the return R$200. Record the deposit and reconciliation rather than counting both the full R$300 and the retained R$100 as permanent expense.
Price failed deliveries and scope boundaries
A third collection at the example’s R$550 and one additional delivery at R$180 add R$730, taking final logistics cost from R$3,700 to R$4,430 before any deposit adjustment. These are agreed example prices, not a prediction that every failure is chargeable. Define cancellation, waiting, rejected load and repeat-delivery terms before ordering.
Use Procon’s itemised-estimate guidance to request the final service price. The registration fees on operator-registration pages are not the household price of a caçamba. Reconcile whether demolition quotes already include bagging, carrying, transport or disposal. “Entulho included” needs a defined route and responsibilities, not a second identical allowance in every trade package.
Close the record when the material reaches its destination
- Confirm the supplier order, dimensions and access slot.
- Check quantities and visible condition at receipt.
- Record approved storage and protection arrangements.
- Match each waste collection to the applicable transport and destination evidence.
- Reconcile surplus returns, credits, deposits and additional charges.
- Inspect the carrying route and remove remaining protection.
Reno Pro can organise the deliveries, costs, notes and recorded payments. Keep supplier terms, transport records and receiving evidence as supporting documents. A complete logistics plan accounts for where materials go, who handles them and what happens when the planned route fails.
